September 22 (SeeNews) - Kosovo's gross electricity production amounted to 520.26 GWh in July, up 6.7% year-on-year, the national statistical office said on Friday.
Thermal power plants produced 430.7 GWh of electricity, hydro plants produced 24.3 GWh, while wind and solar plants generated 23.2 GWh in July, Kosovo's Agency of Statistics said in a monthly electricity figures update.
Kosovo imported 268 GWh of electricity in July, down 22% on the year, whereas power exports fell 38% to 226 GWh.
Coal production amounted to 4,430 tonnes in July, down by 30.6% compared with the same month in 2022.
In June, Kosovo's gross electricity production amounted to 454.79 GWh, down 0.15% year-on-year, the national statistical office said earlier.
