April 8 (SeeNews) - Italian human resources company Gi Group has submitted a request with Romania's anti-trust body to take over the local operations of Polish peer Work Service.
Gi Group is seeking to take over Work Service's operations in Romania through its Romanian subsidiary Gi International SRL, Work Service said in a statement posted on its website on Tuesday.

The initial agreement between Work Service and Gi Group was signed on February 13, 2020.
Work Service Group was founded in 1999 in Poland and provides workforce solutions ranging from permanent placement and temporary staffing, to outplacement and outsourcing services throughout Central and Eastern Europe. It supplies and services an average of 50,000 workers daily, according to its website.
The group has been present in Romania since July 2007, when it has bought stakes of 55% in four companies owned by Romanian peer APT group for an undisclosed sum. Work Service Group became majority shareholder of APT Resources & Services, APT Human Resources, APT Broker and APT Finance Broker.
Gi Group Spa was founded in 1998 in Milan and is active in the staffing industry. The company is present in Romania since 2009 and is headquartered in Bucharest and has ten other branches across the country.
