November 10 (SeeNews) - Non-life insurer Osiguruvanje Makedonija [MSE:KJUBI], a subsidiary of the Vienna Insurance Group (VIG), said its after-tax profit fell to 56.4 million denars ($107,100/91,700 euro) in the first nine months of 2017, from 88.0 million denars a year earlier.
The operating revenue of the Macedonian insurer decreased to 604 million denars in the January-September period from 616 million denars in the like period of 2016, the company said in its nine-month financial report filed with the Skopje bourse on Wednesday.
Osiguruvanje Makedonija’s operating costs rose to 547.5 million denars in the review period from 528.0 million denars the year before.
Osiguruvanje Makedonija, set up as a state insurer in 1945, became part of VIG in 2013. The Austrian group is also present on the Macedonian insurance market through Winner Osiguruvanje.
