May 26 (SeeNews) - Croatian insurance company Croatia Osiguranje [ZSE:CROS] said on Tuesday it plans to skip the payment of dividend this year and to retain all of its 293 million kuna ($42 million/39 million euro) net profit reported for 2019.
The proposal will be put to the vote of the company's shareholders on July 3, Croatia Osiguranje said in a statement with the Zagreb bourse.
In 2019, the insurer paid a dividend of 112 kuna per each preferred share, unchanged compared to a year earlier, thus distributing as dividend an overall 980,000 kuna from its 2018 net profit of 270 million kuna.
The company's stocks closed down 6.50% at 5,750 kuna on the Zagreb bourse on Monday. They did not trade by 10:53 CET on Tuesday.
