The Croatian unit of Swedish home furnishing retailer IKEA saw its revenue rising 12.5% to 815.3 million kuna ($121 million/110 million euro) in business year 2019, which ended at the end of August, local media reported on Wednesday.
The share of internet sales revenue in total revenue was 20% in Croatia, which made it the second best performing IKEA country in the segment after Romania with 24% and ahead of the UK with 18%, news wire tportal.hr reported, quoting company information.
In the kitchen sales segment, Croatia saw 22% growth in revenue last year, which made the country best performer in this division.
The IKEA outlet in Zagreb was visited by 1.8 million people in the past 12 months, while the internet page of IKEA Croatia registered 15.8 million visits.
The Swedish company entered the Croatian market in August 2014 with a store in Zagreb.
Later on, it opened delivery centres in Rijeka, Split, Osijek and Dubrovnik.
