July 23 (SeeNews) - South Korean car maker Hyundai Motor said on Tuesday it has completed the 475 million euro ($627 million) expansion of its factory in Turkey.
The annual output capacity of the Hyundai Assan Otomotive Sanayi factory, located in the city of Izmit, in the Kocaeli province, will be gradually increased to 200,000 vehicles in 2014 from 125,000 vehicles at present, Hyundai Motor said in a statement.
The upgrade allows Hyundai's forthcoming i10 city car and the new i20 hatchback will be built at the Turkish factory.
