June 29 (SeeNews) - The main equity indices of the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) advanced on Wednesday on gains in index heavyweights Hrvatski Telekom and Podravka as the overall turnover improved but remained low, bourse data showed.
The 23-share blue-chip index, the CROBEX, added 0.24% to finish at 2,035.98 points. The narrower CROBEX10 which tracks the top ten companies in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, rose 0.31% to end at 1,207.04 points.
ICT solutions provider Ericsson Nikola Tesla [ZSE:ERNT] contributed the highest daily turnover, almost 560,000 kuna ($78,000/74,000 euro) on Wednesday. Its shares ended unchanged at 1,815 kuna.
Hotel owner and operator Valamar Riviera [ZSE:RIVP] was the second most traded company with a turnover of 545,000 kuna. Its shares fell 1.78% to end at 33.10 kuna.
In lower turnovers, Hrvatski Telekom [ZSE:HT] rose 1.42% to finish at 178.50 kuna and food and pharmaceuticals producer Podravka [ZSE:PODR] appreciated 1.03% to end at 588 kuna.
The bourse's total trading turnover reached 4.6 kuna from just 3 million kuna on Tuesday.
