SOFIA (Bulgaria), June 28 (Bulgaria) - Bulgarian diversified conglomerate Holding Varna [BUL:5V2] led the blue-chip gainers on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) on Wednesday, bourse data showed.
Holding Varna closed 2.88% higher at 33.500 levs ($19.44/17.1 euro) in a trading volume of 55 shares on Wednesday.
Financial and insurance group Eurohold Bulgaria [BUL:4EH] led the blue-chip decliners, closing 2.87% lower at 1.250 levs. The company was the most traded blue-chip on Wednesday, as 201,015 of the company shares changed hands at an average price of 1.231 levs.
Total trading turnover on the Sofia bourse edged up to 2.12 million levs on Wednesday, compared to 2.1 million levs on Tuesday.
The blue-chip SOFIX index rose 0.73% to 702.21 points, after adding 0.82% on Tuesday.
The broader BGBX40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the BSE, increased 0.70% to 133.97 points, after closing 0.46% higher on Monday.
The BG-REIT index, which tracks the performance of real estate investment trusts, rose by 0.62% to 112.31 points on Wednesday. On Tuesday, the index lost 0.04%.
The BG TotalReturn30 index, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, rose by 0.91% to 533.49 points, after adding 0.70% on Tuesday.
