December 27 (SeeNews) - The SOFIX index, which tracks the 15 blue chips on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange, ended Thursday's trading session 0.97% lower at 589.09 points, as trading turnover remained lower than usual.
Total regulated market turnover shank to 148,000 levs ($86,000/76,000 euro) on Thursday, from 6.2 million levs in the preceding session.
The Sofia bourse did not operate from Monday to Wednesday due to the Christmas holidays.
Diversified group Holding Varna [BUL:5V2] fell most among blue chips on Thursday, losing 7.69% to 38.4 levs.
Holding company Chimimport [BUL:6C4] and drug maker Sopharma [BUL:3JR] followed with drops of 1.52% and 0.85%, respectively.
Holding Varna was also the top decliner among constituents of the wider BGBX40 index and the BGTR30 index.
The BGBX40, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse, fell 0.57% to 115.26 points, while the BGTR30, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, edged down 0.04% to 493.88 points.
The BGREIT index, which tracks real estate investment trusts listed on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange, closed unchanged at 119.50 points - an all time high, which it hit in the preceding session.
