September 27 (SeeNews) - Sales of Swedish fashion retailer Hennes & Mauritz (H&M) in Romania jumped by an annual 128% to 440 million Swedish crowns ($67 million/52 million euro) in the first nine months of fiscal year 2012, started December 1.
H&M opened its first store in Romania in March 2011.
In the third quarter of fiscal 2012, ended August 31, the company's sales in Romania rose to 152 million crowns from 90 million crowns a year earlier, the company said in its nine-month report on Thursday.
The sales figures include value-added tax.
The retailer had 16 stores in the country at the end of August, with five of them opened in December-August.
