September 20 (SeeNews) - Greece's Aktor has placed the lowest bid in a tender for the construction of a section of Bulgaria’s southbound Struma motorway, the road infrastructure agency in Sofia said on Tuesday.
Aktor has offered a price of 56 million levs ($39.2 million/28.6 million euro), the lowest among the 15 filed bids, a list of the tabled offers released by the agency indicated.
The tender for the construction of the 15 kilometre section linking the town of Sandanski with Kulata further south was called in June.
The Struma motorway has a total length of 173.28 kilometres and is part of pan-European transport Corridor IV.
Bulgaria has so far built 40 kilometres of the Struma motorway. The government has pledged to complete the construction works on the motorway by 2013.
