January 16 (SeeNews) - North Macedonia's ministry of agriculture, forestry and water economy said on Tuesday it has signed a contract with UAE-based consultancy firm Globatech for the preparation of a technical study for the integration of floating photovoltaic (PV) plants in the national irrigation network.
The technical study should identify suitable locations for floating photovoltaic installations and will involve a conceptual design a feasibility study, as well as project proposals for the installation of floating PV plants, North Macedonia's ministry of agriculture, forestry and water economy said in a press release.
The government of Spain is providing a grant of 765,158 euro ($832,704) for the preparation of the technical study.
