January 12 (SeeNews) - German food ingredients maker Doehler said it has acquired Serbian freeze-dried fruits producer Frikos for an undisclosed amount.
This acquisition will enhance Doehler's strategic product portfolio, particularly in the area of organic red berries, the company said in a press release in December.

Established in 2000, Frikos specialises in producing premium frozen and freeze-dried fruits, particularly red berries. The company is located two hours southwest of Belgrade, in the heart of the raspberry cultivation region, Doehler said.
Established in 1838, Doehler has 45 production sites, 75 offices and application centres in over 160 countries with over 9,500 employees.
