September 22 (SeeNews) - Low-cost carrier Germanwings said it will launch a direct service between Hamburg and Croatia's Adriatic resort town of Dubrovnik from May 2, 2010, Croatian media reported.
The airline boarded 235,000 passengers to Croatia through July, up 9.0% on the year, news outlet Nacional (www.nacional.hr) reported late last week.
Germanwings (www.germanwings.com) offers flights to and from five destinations in Croatia: Zagreb, Dubrovnik, Split, Zadar and Pula.
The carrier operated a fleet of 27 Airbus A319s on 65 routes as part of its summer 2009 schedule, data from the company's website indicated.
