SARAJEVO (Bosnia and Herzegovina), March 22 (SeeNews) – The German embassy in Bosnia said on Wednesday it unveiled a center for robotics in the city of Tuzla, which will offer young people a chance to acquire skills in robot programming.
The investor is German-based Masterwerk, a supplier in the automotive industry, backed by German government funds, the embassy said in a statement. The volume of the investment was not disclosed.
The robotics center will be a place of high technology in Tuzla and will help Bosnia improve its competitiveness, German ambassador Christiane Hohmann said in the statement.
She noted that the center is expected to become a nucleus for new prospects in Bosnia and Herzegovina and give a boost to youth employment.
At the end of January, there were 511,922 unemployed people in Bosnia, a country of 3.5 million.
