November 25 (SeeNews) - French renewable energy company Total Eren said on Thursday it has commissioned four solar photovoltaic (PV) plants with a combined installed capacity of 40 MWp in the Kozani region in the northern part of Greece.
The solar PV plants, each with a capacity of nearly 10 MWp, have been operating at maximum nominal power since November 10, Total Eren said in a press release.

Total Eren funded the project through nearly 32 million euro ($35.9 million) of loans from Greece's Eurobank and the National Bank of Greece in February 2021. The French company implements the project through local fully-owned project company Photovoras Energy.
The solar farms are expected to generate 68 GWh of electricity per year, enough to supply more than 18,000 people in Greece and reduce CO2 emissions by about 57,800 tonnes annually.
In Greece, Total Eren manages 84 MW of solar PV plants and 265 MW of wind powerplants through local affiliate Eren Hellas.
