June 7 (SeeNews) - The number of foreign tourists who visited Bosnia in April reached 13,582, compared with just 268 in the same month last year, the country's statistical office said.
Foreign tourists spent 31,772 overnights in Bosnia in April, up from 2,310 in April 2020, the statistical office said in a statement last week.
The total number of visitors staying at accommodation establishments in Bosnia grew to 35,328 in April 2021 from 1,539 in April 2020.
In April, total tourist overnights totalled 84,045, compared with 7,851 in the same month a year earlier.
Visitors from Serbia accounted for 31.5% of all foreign tourist overnights spent in Bosnia in April, followed by visitors from the UAE, 16.2%, and Croatia, 11.1%.
Last year, Bosnia attracted only 196,000 foreign tourists, down 84% in comparison with 2019.
