BELGRADE (Serbia), March 1 (SeeNews) – The number of foreign tourists who visited Serbia in January grew 1.8% on the year to 82,939, statistical office data showed.
The number of overnights spent by foreign tourists in Serbia rose by 6.0%, to 230,385 in January, according to data posted on the website of Serbia's statistical office on Thursday.
Montenegro was Serbia's biggest feeder market in January, with 8,073 tourists, up 6.1%. Bosnian citizens followed, up 11.2% to 7,066. Visitors from Bulgaria came third, up 3.0% to 6,749.
The number of domestic tourists edged down 0.5% to 94,811 in January, taking the total number of tourists to 177,750, up 0.6%.
