December 3 (SeeNews) - The number of foreign tourists who visited Bosnia in October decreased by 89% on the year, to 14,401, the country's statistical office said on Thursday.
Foreign tourists spent 32,422 overnights in Bosnia in October, down 87% year-on-year, the statistical office said in a statement.
The total number of visitors staying at accommodation establishments in Bosnia fell by 74% on the year in October, to 43,751, and was down by 21% on a monthly comparison basis. Total tourist overnights declined by 68% on the year and by 27% month-on-month, to 103,465.
Visitors from Serbia accounted for 26% of all foreign tourist overnights spent in Bosnia in October, followed by visitors from the United Arab Emirates, 18%, and Croatia, 17%.
In 2019, Bosnia attracted 1.2 million foreign tourists, up 14% year-on-year.
