The new energy facility will combine the production of electricity from renewable sources with agriculture, as 130 owners will be able to use the 80 hectares of land on which the park is built for agricultural purposes, with access for their animals to graze.
Construction will begin in October. The park is scheduled to become operational in 2024. Once construction is completed, Eurowind Energy will retain ownership of the photovoltaic park.
It will comprise over 119,000 individual solar panels, will span an area of 80 hectares and will be able to supply electricity to more than 30,000 households per year.
Eurowind Energy is a leading Danish developer and operator of wind, solar and hybrid projects. The company has been present in Romania since 2011.
