January 19 (SeeNews) - Croatia's telecommunications equipment manufacturer Ericsson Nikola Tesla [ZSE:ERNT] said on Friday it has signed a multi-year framework agreement worth 15 million euro ($16.3 million) with state-owned Kosovo Telecom, which includes the incorporation of Ericsson's 5G platform in the radio part of the Kosovo Telecom network.
The contract marks the culmination of Kosovo Telecom's efforts towards the full modernization of the Vala mobile network of 400 base stations, Kosovo Telecom CEO, Burbuqe Hana, said a press release. "This will provide the customers of Kosovo Telecom with state-of-the-art technology, allowing the citizens of Kosovo to access advanced services, and businesses to have greater opportunities for activity development," she added.
Shares in Ericsson Nikola Tesla traded 0.96% higher at 211 euro on the Zagreb bourse by 1400 local time on Friday.
