BELGRADE (Serbia), April 21 (SeeNews) – Civil engineering group Energoprojekt [BEL:ENHL] generated the highest share turnover on the Belgrade stock market on Friday, as share indices rose, bourse data showed.
Energoprojekt generated a stock turnover of 2.9 million dinars on Friday. It was also the most traded stock on the bourse, as 1,944 shares changed hands in 21 transactions. The company closed flat at 1,501 dinars.
Construction company Jedinstvo [BEL:JESV] led the blue-chip gainers' list on the Belgrade bourse on Friday. The company won 4.01% and closed at 4,700 dinars. A total of 82 shares in the company changed hands, generating a turnover of 385,400 dinars.
The blue-chip BELEX15 index, which tracks the most liquid shares on the Belgrade bourse, won 0.16% to 733.96 points on Friday. On Thursday, the index rose 0.74% to 732.80.
The broader BELEXline, a free‐float market capitalisation weighted index, rose 0.10% and closed Friday's session at 1,584.99. The index rose 0.52% to 1,583.37 on Thursday.
Aluminium rolling mill Impol Seval [BEL:IMPL] paced the blue-chip decliners in Belgrade. Its shares fell 0.97% and closed at 3,367 dinars. A total of 77 shares in the company changed hands, generating a trading turnover of 259,280 dinars.
The total stock trading turnover on the bourse fell to 7.0 million dinars ($60,650/56,663 euro) on Friday from 21.1 million dinars on Thursday, as 159 share transactions were carried out. Trading on the multilateral trading facility (MTP) of the bourse came in at 2.1 million dinars.
In the period between April 18 and 21, BELEX15 won 0.26%, while BELEXline fell by 0.03%. BELEX15 closed only one session this week in the red and gained ground in three, while BELEXline increased on Thursday and Friday, and fell in the other two sessions. The Belgrade Stock Exchange did not hold a trading session on April 17.
Lender Komercijalna banka [BEL:KMBN] led the gainers' list among the blue chips this week, as it won 5.88% and closed at 1,800 dinars on Friday. A total of 4,256 shares in the lender were traded in the period, generating a turnover of 7.6 million dinars.
Energoprojekt generated the highest stock turnover of 36.7 million dinars in the period between April 18 and 21, as 24,426 shares changed hands in 139 deals.
Cookware maker Metalac [BEL:MTLC] paced the blue-chip decliners this week. The company lost 6.66% to 1,681 dinars in a turnover of 757,410 dinars.
The total value of trading in shares on the Belgrade stock market in the period between April 18 and 21 was 87.8 million dinars, versus 107.9 million dinars in the previous week. Trading in Treasury bonds contributed 4.8 million dinars to the week's total trading turnover of 92.6 million dinars on the bourse.
