September 4 (SeeNews) - Montenegro's government said it has signed an agreement with a consortium of Austria's Doppelmayr and local company Novi Volvox for the construction of a six-seat chairlift in the winter resort of Kolasin, it said.
Montenegro plans to invest 9 million euro ($9.9 million) in the construction of the chairlift which will have a capacity for 2,600 skiers per hour and will link the Kolasin 1600 and Kolasin 1450 ski tracks, the government said in a statement on Tuesday.
The construction works are expected to last for 12 months.
The Montenegrin government also said it plans to invest 100 million euro in the development of ski infrastructure in the resorts of Rozaje, Mojkovac and Bijelo Polje in the next three years.
