August 12 (SeeNews) - Croatian municipal company Zagreb Holding is inviting bids for the Water Leakage Management Phase I (WLM I) project to be partly financed through a loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), the international lender said.
WLM I covers delivery, assembly and commissioning of hardware and software equipment for the supervisory WLM centre, as well as measuring equipment for monitoring the hydraulic conditions in the water supply system, the EBRD said in a procurement notice posted on its website.
The project is planned to be completed within 10 months.
Tenders must be delivered on or before October 6, 2009.
Tendering for contracts to be financed with the proceeds of a loan from EBRD is open to companies from any country.
At the beginning of 2009, Zagreb Holding launched two tenders for water network upgrades in Zagreb, as part of a project funded by a loan from EBRD. In 2007, EBRD said it will lend 60 million euro ($84.8 million) for investments in the water and sewer network projects in the Croatian capital.
Zagreb Holding's five key businesses are water and gas supply, public transport services, waste collection and recycling and maintenance and cleaning of public roadways. It was established in 2007 and has 18 branches with 12,000 employees.
