July 31 (SeeNews) - Croatian Adriatic port operator Luka Ploce [ZSE:LKPC] said its consolidated net profit soared to 10.9 million kuna ($1.7 million/1.5 million euro) in the first half of 2019, from 1.1 million kuna a year earlier.
First-half operating revenue fell to 98.4 million kuna, down 18.9% on the year, while operating expenses decreased by 27.9% to 85.6 million kuna, Luka Ploce said in an unaudited financial report filed with the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) on Tuesday.
The port operator's total assets amounted to 563.7 million kuna at the end of June, up from 560 million kuna at the end of 2018.
Luka Ploce employed 548 people at the end of the review period.
Earlier this month, Croatian energy and logistics group Energia Naturalis (ENNA) said it is launching a takeover bid for the remaining stake of 74.38% in Luka Ploce it does not own yet.
Luka Ploce's shares traded at 410 kuna on the ZSE by 10:05 CET on Wednesday, unchanged from Tuesday's close.
