April 27 (SeeNews) - Croatian confectionery producer Kras [ZSE:KRAS-R-A] said its consolidated net profit increased by 48.1% year on year to 4.05 million kuna ($658,329/545,370 euro) in the first three months of 2018.
The company’s total consolidated revenue climbed 10.2% to 223.1 million kuna in the three months through March, as sales revenue totalled 221.2 million kuna, Kras said in a statement.
Out of the total sales revenue, 119.4 million kuna was contributed by sales on the domestic market, while sales abroad contributed 101.8 million kuna.
Consolidated expenditures totalled 218.1 million kuna through March, up 9.8% on the year.
Kras' EBITDA totalled 20.7 million kuna in the first quarter, with a margin of 9.3%.
In the first quarter, the company boosted exports to the markets of Saudi Arabia, Australia, Canada, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, and countries in central and western Europe.
