March 20 (SeeNews) - The employees of Croatian confectionery producer Kras [ZSE:KRAS] and biscuits maker Karolina, both units of the Kras Group, will go on a one-week collective vacation as of March 25 due to the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) outbreak, local media reported on Friday.

Kras will continue to provide deliveries to its clients as it has enough stocks to meet market demand for two months, news daily Poslovni Dnevnik reported.

The company's candy stores, Kras Bombonierre, will stay open with only a limited number of workers, while the employees of wholesaler Kras Trgovina will go on a collective vacation as of March 24.

The Kras choco bars are closed in line with the country's interior ministry orders.

The efforts of the confectionery producer are focused on preserving the 2,500 jobs within Kras Group, the report added.

Kras is one of the leading confectionery producers in Southeast Europe (SEE). Apart from its factories in Zagreb, the company owns two factories for biscuits and waffles in Croatia and in Bosnia.
