September 14 (SeeNews) - Croatia electrical equipment manufacturer Koncar Elektroindustrija [ZSE:KOEI] said on Thursday that its unit Generators and Motors (GIM) has signed deals to refurbish two hydro power plants in Sweden.
It did not disclose the value of the deals.

In September, GIM signed a deal to renovate Generator 2 at the Gulsele hydroelectric power plant, located near the town of Junsele in northwestern Sweden, Koncar said in a monthly newsletter.
The scope of the agreement includes generator power calculations for the purpose of turbine capacity increase, generator component refurbishment, spare parts, disassembly, assembly, testing, and commissioning.
In August, GIM signed an agreement for the renovation of Hermansboda hydro power plant, in the Ljungan River, near the town of Ange, southwestern Sweden. This hydropower plant was commissioned in 1962 and features two individual synchronous vertical generators with a capacity of 6.5 MVA each. With the existing equipment in poor condition, the customer opted to revitalise both units, in order to increase the power to 7.8 MVA. The scope of the deal encompasses design, manufacturing, and delivery of new stators, pole re-insulation, special tools and assembly equipment, spare parts, disassembly, assembly, testing, and commissioning.
