March 14 (SeeNews) - Croatian oil and gas company INA [ZSE:INA] has decided to start bitumen production in its Sisak refinery, it said on Wednesday.
Bitumen production in the Sisak refinery is expected to begin in March 2021, the company said in a filing to the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE).
The project is part of the INA Downstream 2023 New Course programme.
In December, INA said it will launch its Downstream 2023 programme in order to improve its refining and marketing business, which has so far generated an annual average loss of 1 billion kuna ($152.3 million/134.7 million euro).
The programme is focused on ensuring sustainability and profitability of refining and marketing operations, as well as the whole company through changes of the current downstream business model.
