July 3 (SeeNews) - Croatia's Hrvatska Postanska Banka (HPB) [ZSE:HPB] said on Monday it completed the process of a merger-by-acquisition of Nova Hrvatska Banka (NHB), a former unit of Russia's Sberbank.
The commercial court in Zagreb on July 3 issued a decision to register the merger, HPB said in a filing to the Zagreb bourse.

The merger will result only in the transfer of NHB assets and liabilities to HPB, and will not lead to changes in the HPB shareholding structure, the acquiring bank said earlier.
HPB acquired Sberbank's local unit, Sberbank d.d., in April for a total cash consideration of 71 million kuna ($10.3 million/9.4 million euro) and renamed it NHB.
Shares of HPB last traded on Friday on the Zagreb bourse ending 0.68% lower at 147 euro.
