August 31 (SeeNews) - Croatia's general government debt rose 1.7% year-on-year in May, to almost 344 billion kuna ($45.7 billion/45.8 billion euro), central bank figures showed on Wednesday.
On a monthly comparison comparison basis, general government debt fell 3.4% in May, according to data published by the Croatian National Bank.
In May, the domestic component of general government debt increased by 2.0% on the year to 223 billion kuna, while the external component increased by 1.2% to 121 billion kuna.
The total consolidated debt of all general government sub-sectors rose 8.7% to 343.6 billion kuna last year.
