August 28 (SeeNews) - Shares in Croatia's diversified holding Djuro Djakovic [ZSE:DDJH] extended losses on Wednesday, falling sharply for a third day running on the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE), bourse data showed.
ZSE's share indices dropped further on Wednesday, following their decline on Monday and Tuesday.
Djuro Djakovic led the blue-chip losers on the ZSE, as its shares closed 6.4% lower at 7.60 kuna. On Tuesday, the company's share price fell 2.87%, while on Monday it lost 4.78%.
Electrical equipment manufacturer Koncar Elektroindustrija [ZSE:KOEI] led the blue-chip gainers, as its share price rose 1.68% to 605 kuna.
Tourism company Valamar Riviera [ZSE:RIVP] generated the highest trading turnover among the blue-chip companies on Wednesday, of 3 million kuna. Valamar's shares closed at 36.70 kuna, down 0.81%.
ZSE's total trading turnover almost halved to 7.8 million kuna ($1.2 million/1.1 million euro), from 14.3 million kuna on Tuesday.
The 25-share benchmark index CROBEX fell by 0.50% to 1,863.58 on Wednesday, after edging down 0.05% in the previous trading session.
The narrower of the ZSE's two blue-chip indices, the CROBEX10, which tracks the leading companies in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, decreased by 0.34% to 1,085.77 after dropping 0.15% on Tuesday.
The fixed-income CROBIS index added 0.03% to 116.5290.
