October 19 (SeeNews) - Croatia's average net monthly wage totalled 7,679 kuna ($1,000/1,020 euro) in August, down 3.9% year-on-year in real terms, the country's statistical office said on Wednesday.
In July, the average net monthly salary was 4.3% lower on the year in real terms.
On a monthly comparison basis, the average net monthly wage in August rose 1.3% in real terms, after it declined 2.2% in July, the Croatian Bureau of Statistics said in a statement.
The average gross monthly salary amounted to 10,466 kuna in August, down by a real 3.0% year-on-year and higher by 1.5% on the month.
Croatia's average net monthly wage totalled 7,129 kuna last year, up by a real 2.7% year-on-year.
