May 5 (SeeNews) - Croatian manufacturer of plastic products for the automotive industry AD Plastik [ZSE:ADPL-R-A] said that part of its customers have resumed production following a coronavirus break, prompting the company to adjust its manufacturing accordingly.
On May 4, Ford restarted production at its factories in Germany and Romania, Fiat resumed manufacturing at its sites in Italy, while Suzuki relaunched production operations in Hungary, AD Plastic said in a statement on Monday.
"All customers will be working at reduced capacity at first and the capacity of our factories will adapt accordingly," AD Plastik said.
Last week, the Croatian car parts maker announced that its domestic factories are preparing to resume operations following the April 28 restart of production at its main client - Slovenian car maker Revoz.
It has said that some of its other clients, including German automotive parts supplier Hella, Renault Russia and Volkswagen, have also resumed production, noting that all of them will be initially working at reduced capacity.
AD Plastik's two plants in Russia restarted production in April to meet the needs of its Russian client AvtoVAZ.
AD Plastik has eight production plants in five countries - three in Croatia, two in Russia, and one each in Hungary, Serbia and Romania, employing some 2,900 workers in total.
The company's shares closed 2.18% lower at 134.50 kuna ($19.3/17.7 euro) on the Zagreb Stock Exchange on Monday. They did not trade at opening on Tuesday.
