September 9 (SeeNews) - Croatian gas transmission system operator Plinacro said it has signed an agreement with Slovenian counterpart Geoplin Plinovodi on the exit/entry points of a cross-border gas interconnection.
The agreement signed on Thursday identified Lisac in Croatia and Susak in Slovenia as the best locations for the coupling of the two countries' gas grids, Plinacro said in a statement on its website.
The interconnector will be part of the Zlobin–Rupa–Kalce–Jelsane corridor.
The environmental impact study for the Croatian section of the gas link has already been approved by the country's environment ministry.
Plinacro (www.plinacro.hr) is 100% state-owned.
Geoplin Plinovodi (www.geoplin-plinovodi.si) is a wholly-owned unit of Slovenian state-controlled wholesale natural gas supplier Geoplin.
