December 29 (SeeNews) - The main share indices of the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) rose on Wednesday Tuesday, backed by gains in hotel operator Valamar Riviera [ZSE:RIVP], Hrvatski Telekom [ZSE:HT], shipping company Atlantska Plovidba [ZSE:ATPL] and electrical equipment manufacturer Koncar Elektroindustrija [ZSE:KOEI], bourse data showed.
The ZSE's blue-chip 21-share benchmark CROBEX index closed at 2.076,26 points, up 0.83%.
The narrower of the ZSE's two blue-chip indices, the CROBEX10, which tracks the top ten companies in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, went up 0.70% to finish at 1.261.57 points.
Valamar Riviera was the most liquid stock on the bourse on Wednesday, generating a turnover of 1.5 million kuna ($227,000/199,000 euro). Its shares rose 2.17% to finish at 33 kuna.
Hrvatski Telekom was the second most traded issue, with a turnover of 883,000 kuna. Its shares gained 0.27% to end at 185 kuna.
Atlantska Plovidba's share increased 1.93% to 370 kuna in a turnover of 780,000 kuna.
Shares of Koncar appreciated 1.15% to end at 880 kuna in a turnover of 507,000 kuna as the company said earlier on Wednesday that its electric vehicles manufacturing unit signed a 129.9 million kuna framework deal for repair and maintenance of low-floor trams with ZET, the public transport company of the city of Zagreb.
ZSE's turnover fell to 5.8 million kuna from 14.9 million on Tuesday, when it was boosted by two block deals worth almost 10 million kuna.
