November 16 (SeeNews) - The main indices of the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) dropped for a second consecutive trading day on Tuesday, dragged down by losses in shipping company Atlantska Plovidba [ZSE:ATPL], Hrvatski Telekom (HT) [ZSE:HT], and food and pharmaceuticals company Podravka [ZSE:PODR], bourse data showed.
The ZSE's blue-chip 21-share benchmark CROBEX went down 0.31%, closing at 1,994.07 points.
The narrower of the ZSE's two blue-chip indices, the CROBEX10, which tracks the top 10 Crobex components in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, declined 0.41% to finish at 1,222.76 points.
Shares of Atlantska Plovidba dropped 4.15% to 370 kuna in a turnover of 1.1 million kuna ($166,000/146,000 euro), the biggest daily turnover on Tuesday.
Hrvatski Telekom generated the second biggest daily turnover, of 1.0 million kuna. They fell 0.54% to close at 184 kuna.
Podravka's shares plunged 0.95% to finish at 626 kuna in a turnover of 372,000 kuna.
The biggest gainer on Tuesday was hotel operator Villa Dubrovnik, shares in which surged 10.29% to 386 kuna. Yet, this price is still below the price of 417.12 kuna per share offered in an ongoing buyout bid by local pension fund manager Erste d.o.o. for the remaining 86,334 regular shares of the company representing 10.40% interest that it does not own yet.
The ZSE's total turnover rose to 6.5 million kuna on Tuesday from 5.5 million kuna on Monday.
