July 27 (SeeNews) - Croatian dairy company Dukat said on Friday its consolidated net profit expanded significantly to 75.9 million kuna ($11.9 million/10.3 million euro) in the first half of 2018 from 62.8 million kuna a year earlier.
Operating income rose 4.9% on the year to 1.83 billion kuna in January-June, while operating costs increased 4.3% to 1.74 billion kuna, resulting in earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) of 93.5 million kuna, up 13.9 million kuna on the prior year, Dukat's consolidated financial report filed with the Zagreb bourse showed.
First-half sales revenue grew 4.8% to 1.81 billion kuna. Sales on foreign markets made up 59.6% of the total, standing at 1.1 billion kuna, up 2.7% on the year.
Dukat invested 43.2 million kuna in its operations in the six months through June 2018.
Dukat Group comprises parent company Dukat and 13 affiliates in Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia, Serbia, Macedonia, Kosovo, and Bulgaria.
