May 12 (SeeNews) - Passenger numbers at Croatia's airports increased to 258,000 in March, up 354.7% compared to March last year when the coronavirus pandemic brought air travel to a standstill, official statistics showed on Thursday.
The total number of landings and take-offs at Croatian airports rose 71% on the year reaching 4,974 in March, while cargo volumes increased by 7.1% on the year to 789 tonnes, the statistical office said in a monthly report.
Zagreb airport served the largest number of passengers in March – 195,000, up by an annual 355.5% - followed by the airport in Split with 31,000 passengers and Dubrovnik airport with 25,000 passengers.
