LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), February 9 (SeeNews) – Croatia's government said on Thursday it plans to direct 1.5 billion kuna ($214.5 million/200.9 million euro) into measures for stimulating employment, particularly of young and long-term unemployed people.
The government plans to launch several employment-boosting measures as soon as March, it said in a press release following a regular weekly session.
The bills proposing changes to Croatia's employment legislation have been forwarded to parliament to be discussed under a fast-track procedure.
In December, Croatia's registered unemployment rate climbed to 14.8%, from 14.4% a month earlier.
