October 29 (SeeNews) - Croatia's government will raise the minimum monthly wage in the country by 10.3% to 3,750 kuna ($581/500 euro) as of January 1, prime minister Andrej Plenkovic said.
“For the first time ever, the minimum salary will be more than 50% of the average net salary,” Plenkovic told a weekly cabinet meeting held on Thursday, as seen in a video posted on the government's website.
The increase concerns some 51,000 employees, he added.
The average net monthly salary in Croatia stood at 7,118 kuna in August.
