- The management of the Croatian financial agency FINA plans to lay off 1,000 people by the end of the year, a source in FINA said. The agency currently employs 4,400 people.
- There are currently around 340 bankruptcy cases in process at Croatia’s Commercial Court, and the judges expect around a dozen new motions for bankruptcy to be filed by the end of the year. Compared to 2008, the number of bankruptcies rose by 40% this year, probably as a result of the economic recession, the daily reported.
