Croatia's financial regulator, Hanfa, said on Wednesday it has licensed a newly-set up local unit of Japan's Toyota Tsusho Corporation for providing leasing services.
Toyota Tsusho Leasing Croatia is the first Japanese-owned company to enter the leasing market of the Adriatic country, Hanfa said in a statement.
Toyota Tsusho Corporation, the trading arm of car manufacturer Toyota Group, has provided 5 million kuna ($736,000/660,000 euro) as an initial instalment in the equity capital of its Croatian unit.
