April 21 (SeeNews) - Moldova's health ministry said on Tuesday that coronavirus cases in the country have increased to 2,548 from 2,472 a day earlier.
Most cases were registered in Chisinau, Soroca and Stefan Voda, the health ministry said in a press release.
So far, Moldova has registered 72 deaths from the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19), while 505 people have recovered.
Some 39,624 people are in self-isolation.
Since March 23, Moldova's emergency situations committee has banned people older than 63 years from leaving their home except to go to work, buy medicines or food or walk their pets.
On March 17, Moldova's parliament declared a countrywide state of emergency until May 16.
