April 17 (SeeNews) - The number of confirmed cases of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Bosnia rose to 1,199 after the Serb Republic's health ministry said on Friday the number of patients in the entity who have tested positive for the disease grew to 500.
At the same time, Bosnia's other entity - the Federation, said there were 681 confirmed COVID-19 cases on its territory by 1350 CET on Friday.
The Brcko District, a self-governing administrative unit in northeastern Bosnia, said it had 18 cases as of Friday, including two fatalities.
The Federation has registered 28 deaths related to the coronavirus so far, while 16 people have died from the disease in the Serb Republic.
Bosnia and Herzegovina is made up of two autonomous entities - the Federation and the Serb Republic.
