October 7 (SeeNews) - Austrian cinema operator Cineplexx International will open a 10 million marka ($6.0 million/5.1 million euro) cinema in the Bosnian capital Sarajevo by the end of October, or the beginning of November, the city government said on Wednesday.
The new cinema will spread over 5,000 square metres and will have eight cinema halls with a capacity to seat over 1,100 people, Sarajevo city said in a statement, quoting a report by Fena news agency.
The company is also present in another Bosnian town, Banja Luka.
Cineplexx Kinobetriebe was founded in Vienna in 1993 and is a subsidiary of Constantin Film Holding, it says on its website. It is present in Austria, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Greece, Italy, Kosovo, Croatia, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, and Slovenia. It employs some 1,500 workers and its facilities attract 12 million annual visits.
