July 22 (SeeNews) - China's state-owned investment company CITIC Group Corporation has proposed to invest $100 million (90.9 million euro) in the construction of an auto part plant in Bulgaria, the Bulgarian government said on Friday.
The plant, to be based in the Danube city of Ruse in northern Bulgaria, will produce alloy wheels and will create 300 jobs, the government's press office said in a statement following a meeting of prime minister Boyko Borissov with a Chinese business delegation.
Chinese companies have shown interest to invest also in other sectors of the Bulgarian economy, like infrastructure and agriculture, the statement reads.
