December 12 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian industrial conglomerate Chimimport [BUL:6C4] was the top blue-chip gainer on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange on Tuesday, bourse data shows.
Chimimport shares closed 1.68% higher at 1.699 levs ($1.01/0.87 euro) as 7,257 shares changed hands.
The total trading turnover on the regulated market of the Sofia bourse fell to 3.3 million levs on Tuesday from 6.8 million levs on Monday.
Financial and insurance group Eurohold Bulgaria [BUL:4EH] was the most traded blue chip company on Tuesday, as 1.5 million of its shares changed hands at an weighted average price of 1.304 levs. The company was also the top blue-chip decliner, as its shares closed 3.76% lower at 1.304 levs.
Earlier on Tuesday, Bulgarian insurance company Euroins, a subsidiary of Eurohold Bulgaria, said it has increased its capital to 32.5 million levs from 16.5 million levs via a new share issue.
The BSE's blue-chip SOFIX index rose 0.23% to 666.99 points on Tuesday after edging up by 0.03% on Monday.
The broader BGBX40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the BSE, added 0.13% to 130.40 points, after edging down by 0.01% on Monday.
The BG-REIT index, which tracks the performance of real estate investment trusts, increased 0.21% to 114.76 points on Tuesday. On Monday, the index closed 0.31% higher.
The BG TotalReturn30 index, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, fell by 0.05% to 548.49 points, following a 0.16% increase on Monday.
