May 30 (SeeNews) - CEZ Distribution Bulgaria [BUL:3CZ], a subsidiary of Czech power utility group CEZ, said on Thursday its consolidated net profit fell to 5.8 million levs ($3.2 million/2.9 million euro) in the first quarter, from 11.7 million levs in the like period of 2018.
The company's total operating revenue increased to 103.9 million levs in the period under review from 101.2 million levs in the first three months of 2018, CEZ Distribution Bulgaria said in its interim financial statement.
CEZ Distribution Bulgaria's operating expenses rose to 98.4 million levs in the first quarter of 2019, compared to 88.1 million levs a year earlier.
CEZ Distribution Bulgaria operates in the Sofia region and parts of western and northern Bulgaria.
CEZ Group said last month that it has started exclusive talks with financial and insurance group Eurohold Bulgaria [BUL:4EH] for the sale of its assets in Bulgaria, including its 67% stake in CEZ Distribution Bulgaria.
