April 30 (SeeNews) - CEZ Distribution Bulgaria [BUL:3CZ], majority owned by Czech energy group CEZ, said on Monday that its non-consolidated net profit rose to 11.2 million levs ($6.9 million/5.7 million euro) in the first quarter of 2018 from 10.6 million levs in the like period of last year.
The company's operating revenue fell to 99.7 million levs in the period January-March compared to 121.0 million levs in the prior-year period, CEZ Distribution said in an interim financial statement.
CEZ Distribution Bulgaria's operating expenses decreased to 87.2 million levs in the first three months of the year from 109.0 million levs the year before.
CEZ Distribution Bulgaria operates the distribution grid on an area of 40,000 sq km in northern and northwestern Bulgaria, including the Sofia region.
